Registration for house allotment to go online in Lucknow

Lucknow

From December 2018, if you want to register for house allotment, apply for freehold, mutation management, refund of deposit amount or apply for a duplicate order with Lucknow Development Authority, you will have to go the online way.

By a government order directed through Uttar Pradesh Housing and Development Board, these facilities under the Uttar Pradesh Janhit Guarantee Act have been made online with a window of 60 days fixed for task completion by officers.

The process to create login IDs and passwords for LDA officials is on. Once done, users will have to approach the portal to generate individual IDs after which relevant documents will have to be uploaded for processing a request.

"The process will now get streamlined and help in record maintenance of properties. Disputes for any property will also come to the fore and merged for redressal," said officer in charge for freehold Sanjay Kumar Pandey.

Users will have to create a profile on janhit.upda.in and initiate a request. Any complaint made on the portal will be directed to a junior engineer for investigation. The engineer will have to submit a report within 48 hours. This will also be uploaded online so that action based on the report can be taken.

Once a user has created an account, relevant documents such as identity proof, applicant's photo, sale deed, succession certificate, death certificate and power of attorney will have to be uploaded.
